"Spoon & Cherry Noir"

Acrylic on wood // 4 x 6 feet

I wanted to capture one of the most iconic scenes in Minneapolis. The Cherry and Spoon. Interesting history behind it. I'll let you do your own research.

"Northstar Noir"

One of the forgotten, but still necessary, landmarks near the Stone Arch Bridge and the Guthrie. Simple and minimalist was the goal.

"Foshay Noir"

This is one of my favorite shots of downtown Minneapolis that I personally took. The Foshay peeking through two large buildings.

"Bat Angel"

Kasey Alexander Robinson

Acrylic on panel // 15.75 x 15.75 inches

I've always struggled with stereotypicalyl "demonized" creatures... like the bat. It can be seen as such a scary animal, but when you really look at a bat, they're pretty cute - like a mouse. But I guess mice can be scary too. It's funny how something that's cute and innocent can be deemed as evil by lore.

"The Bat's Beam"

Chris Mullis

Acrylic on wood // 9 x 13 inches

I decided to take inspiration from the iconic bat symbol.  I grew up watching the Batman movies and consequently I’m a big fan. The color grading in the films is usually on the darker side, but I wanted to liven the scene by painting something more vibrant and reminiscent of the vintage comic books.
